Current Families
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.
The worth of one’s educational experience is not just assessed by tests, essays, and final grades. “Fun,” at St. John the Baptist Catholic School, also makes the grade! The SJB experience is one of inclusion: each student has a full spectrum of possibilities to express themselves, to find strengths–and showcase these to a warm and caring community of students, staff–and sometimes–a viewing public. Student life extends itself into the community-at-large. We benefit from the surrounding communities’ rich cultural heritage. But the true core of the educational experience here is “service”. Students connect in a wide range of activities that serve the local community and beyond.
School Advisory Council (SAC)
St. John the Baptist has an active and influential School Advisory Council (SAC) made up of experts who have committed their time and talent to the Mission of the school. These members serve the principal and Pastor with expert advice and outstanding action. The School Advisory Council is comprised of school parents and representatives from the parish and school. The advancement of the school’s mission is a direct result of the Advisory Council’s leadership in finance, marketing, capital improvement, technology, public relations, strategic planning, and Catholic Identity. SAC positions are held for three years.
